Sciatica Relief Using Back Exercises

You don't always need expensive surgery, medications and other treatments for sciatica pain relief. Sometimes relief can come from free solutions like exercise.

If your doctor approves, try some of these exercises and see how they help your back:

1) Lie down on the floor, on a firm mat or other surface. Lift your knees up to your chest. Hug them to your body, gently and closely. Remain in that position for two to three seconds, stretching your lower back.

2) It’s time for side stretches next, so reach tall, using good posture - arms at your side, legs apart. Touch your left foot with your right hand. Hold. Return to original position. Then touch your right foot with your left hand. Hold. Return to position. Repeat several times.
